66% Trump Voters Turn Off Awards Shows As Speeches Get Political

A new THR and National Research Group Survey Oscars poll reveals that a whopping 66 percent of Trump voters turn off awards shows when speeches get political. In the last two weeks, following the very-political Grammys and leading up to the Oscars, the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), the conservative alternative to the AARP, ran a poll where over 10,000 people voted that Hollywood celebrities should NOT use award shows and their fame to talk about politics so much.

AMAC CEO Dan Weber says, “More than 60 million Americans voted for Donald Trump this year,” said Dan Weber, president of AMAC, which boasts over 1 million dues-paying members.  “They are tired of being demeaned and mocked by celebrities who have become enriched in large part due to the money we spend on movie tickets and other entertainment programs.  If Hollywood continues its vicious, bigoted hate speech against those who simply hold different political views, then we don’t have to watch their films anymore.”

Dan Weber is the CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), the largest conservative due-paying member association in the United States with a membership of over a million seniors. Dan founded the organization as an alternative to AARP. Dan owned and operated a family insurance business for over 30 years before starting AMAC. Dan created AMAC to be an organization that advocates for traditional American values and is taking the lead on issues that affect his members like social security and affordable health care.
